Nose - Medium oak, caramel, black pepper, light toasted marshmallow, and light ethanol. Palate - Watered down oak, butterscotch cream, cinnamon bun, and peppercorn medley. Finish is medium-long with dry barrel char, wet grain, grass, cinnamon sticks, and light ethanol. The back end has an unpleasant hit of woody, bitter agave. 50 mL sampler bottle. The nose is fine, but the finish is pretty bad. It completely ruins the tequila. It is pretty simple until the end, and then it morphs and overwhelms the back of your throat. Not good.

Neat. Nose of agave, oak, slight vanilla, toffee, black pepper, earth. Taste is agave sweet, significant caramel, vanilla, flan, oak, black pepper, cinnamon, and a hint of anise. Finish is long, sweet, mellow and eventually dry. Most of the flavors stick around for a while, but the vanilla, oak, cinnamon, and black pepper play around on the tongue the longest. Mouthfeel is moderately light Very nice anejo. Not too sweet, oaky, and a little spice. Good crossover for bourbon lovers
After having this dry anejo, I discovered that I prefer sweet.
