The basis of this rum is excellent, with notes of honey and the taste of sugar cane. It is an overall smooth liquid that *should* feel soft on the tongue, but the Siling Labuyo (Filipino green pepper) is too much. It makes this otherwise smooth rum bitter. They call it "a beautiful combination of sweetness amd acidity" but the peppers give it a bitterness that is not in the right place. Why make it taste like other acidic cheap rums? The only thing that reminds us of the premium quality is the honey and the sweetness of sugar cane. The latter taste disappears and becomes something not quite sweet and not quite bitter.

ok you can love Don Papa or you can hate it as a non natural rum, but If you like it this one is even better than the classic edition, different taste, a lot of taste ! and cheaper :-)

Very forward vanilla and caramel notes same as Don Papa 7. The spice notes is there and heat but its more subtle and guides you through a long finish

Aggenorden 4.0

Sweet and citrusy lemon on the nose, lots of caramel, butterscotch honey and some vanilla. One of the better sweeter rums I have tasted.

jelle 5.0

Beautifull rum, carmalised sugar, toffee and butterscotch are the Primark tones. Good in the mix with 7up, Ginger ale or coca cola.
