Theoretically 5 or more years old. Medium weight in the glass, a medium orange-brown hue like toasted chaff. A sharp nose - high ethanol, cereal grain, mint, and a hint of bubble gum. Caramel swirls in the background, but the similarly sharp palate immediately crests with a wave of more mint, cayenne, and bitter chocolate. The barley heritage is clear, but the experience is more like a super-young high-proof bourbon than single malt. There is quality under the surface, but hard to recommend at this proof and age.
