About this bottle

Espíritu Lauro uses a blend of 70% wild Espadín and 30% Karwinskii of San Martín agave that is aged 6 - 8 years before harvesting, and left to ferment naturally without the use of yeast. This añejo is aged 13 months in used Jack Daniels barrels that are charred and scraped before maturing the distillate.

Looneyhead 4.5

Medium smoke on the nose with charred wood, vanilla icing, citrus peel, green pepper, agave, and herbs. Herbal, vegetal, rich, and sweet on the palate; caramel, char, smoke, vanilla, agave, stone fruit, lactose and a touch of black pepper. Very smooth, though there’s a bit of spice to the cake-like finish.

Amy Johnson 1.8

Surprisingly not smooth for being ahead. Sharp on the tongue.
