About this bottle
This blanco tequila is the base tequila used for the Expresiones del Corazón collection of barrel-aged tequilas. It is made at Casa San Matías Distillery in Los Altos of Jalisco. The brix level is checked to determine sugar content in the agaves prior to harvest. This tequila is made with a combination agaves with higher and lower sugar content levels. After the agaves are cooked, milled, and fermented, the resulting "mosto" is distilled in stainless steel pot stills. The tequila rests in stainless steel tanks for 60 days prior to bottling. Bottled at 80 proof, it is a 100% agave tequila. This release in June 2019 marks the fifth release for the collection. Available nationally with limited availability.
