About this bottle
This grain-to-glass whisky is distilled in both column and pot stills from a mash bill of grains grown on the distillery's farm — rye, floor-malted rye, floor-malted barley, and wheat. It is matured in a combination of new and used American oak, and ex-wine barrels — Sauternes, Moscatel, Madeira — for a total minimum 42 months, with a 93 day marrying period for the casks. It is bottled at 48% ABV.

Punchy strong first taste. Spicy on the tongue and warming as it goes down. Little bit sickly. No real distinct flavour is jumping out.

Fruity and homey nose. First few sips had a bite. Ended with carmel. As I continued it mellowed out with more fruit. Interesting
