Nose: Warm rye bread or dusty Ryvita slices. Tannic black tea. Malt loaf. Sticky toffee pudding. Palate: Rye bread spice, nutty, very malty. Finish: The spice turns peppery with the nuttiness intensifying. It's quite basic in terms of profile but that's not a bad thing. It offers a lot of punch neat and would hold its own in a cocktail. A few drops of water bring out the malt / toffee notes on the nose but oddly strips it out of the palate leaving more of the peppery heat. YMMV.

Brioche, pain aux raisin, nougat and herbal freshness. Really interesting nose and flavour. Lovely colour and oiliness. Nice for a couple maybe even an old fashioned. Maybe a bottle, could be sickly.
