Fortaleza Reposado Winter Blend 2019

Neat. Beautiful golden color that coats the glass nicely. Nose of cooked agave, honey/caramel, slight oak, vanilla, minerals, hints of citrus, mint. Taste starts agave sweet with spice from a little alcohol burn, cinnamon, black pepper, balanced by soft oak, honey, vanilla, slight citrus peel, floral, cream. Finish is long, softly sweet with vanilla, with some hints of green herbs/mint, cinnamon and black pepper Overall, soft and sweet, and a little spice for interest. The winter blends are always worth picking up for those looking for something unique.

Had this in a blanco to extra Añejo tasting flight alongside Siembra Azul Blanco and Fuenteseca 18. Great stuff. Very chocolatey along side notes of cooked agave, cinnamon, pepper, oak, cherry, chocolate, caramel, anise, mint, and grass.
