Smooth, pleasant butterscotch and dark fruit on the nose. Rich butterscotch, baking spice, soft mouthfeel, with a little more spice on the finish. It's not a slaughter on the senses like some XAs. It's well balanced and rather exquisite, but still probably not worth the asking price. Pricing on premium tequila does not seem to scale well as well as Scotch... I think it's probably better than the similarly priced ET 85th Anniversary, though.
