Seven Three Distilling Co. was founded in New Orleans in 2016. Its name is in honor of the seventy-three neighborhoods that make up New Orleans. Their gin follows suit with its name, Gentilly--actually a collection of neighborhoods in the Crescent City. Based on their standard gin made using elderflower and persimmon among other undisclosed botanicals, Gentilly Gin Barrel Reserve is barrel-rested before bottling at 87 proof.

A bit odd but interesting. Didn’t like it neat but in whiskey type cocktails in makes a refreshing summertime change of pace. Try it in an old fashioned or a sour. Was really nice in both.
