Glengoyne is proud to say that they have the slowest distillation process because they feel that time is the key to producing great whiskies. This distillery is also known for regularly producing quality whiskies with a clear sherry cask influence profile. Typically, their core range is made of aged stated whiskies, from 10 to 25 years, but this Cask Strength is their second batch of a non-aged statement released without addition of water. At 58.9%, we can expect quite a sense of spirit.

I've got a batch 4 bottle. Nosing it I get a tart winey smell, with icing sugar developing after a while. strong alcohol throughout. taste is firey, very very rich. Oak-y, charr, banana and spice. it finishes prickly but a banana charr taste stays on the palate for a while.
Had this at a tasting and loved it. Rich, oily, Maple, nutty, some birch beer notes. Light cocoa and pepper. Caribbean Rum notes and dark brown sugar. Menthol finish. Some dark red wine notes. Finish is fantastic and both warming & lasting.
Lovely whisky i rate this about on par with the abundah. Fruity on the nose heaps of sherry I get plums a big sweet sherry hit on the palate with a long spicy finish 🖒
A good cask strength whisky for sure. Well priced and delivers a real punch of flavour. Quite a bit of heat indicates fairly young whisky.
High vanilla to the nose. First sip you can definitely tell the high alcohol - ethanol taste. Watered down is a better. Might buy again
This is a whiskey that you do not taste unnoticed. Flavour comes in quickly and stays long and intense. A joy to drink.
