Hardshore Gin is the flagship product of the Hardshore Distilling Company and comes as a result of "four years of tinkering". The gin's base is crafted with grain from the founder's family farm, which is then fermented in open top tanks. Following carbon filtration, the spirit is macerated with just five botanicals: juniper, coriander, orris, rosemary and mint.

The first sniff feels like Japanese shochu with shiso aromas, floral and peppery notes comes after. On palate it is oily and sweet, fairly spicy with pepper and chilli hot. The alcohol heat is mild however. With tonic the spiciness is gone and is mainly floral and a bit of citrus. I like the interesting profile of having in straight up or on rocks more.
Clear and crisp, this a gin you can enjoy either neat or in a cocktail. Has less juniper flavor in favor of herbal notes that make this a treasure to taste. Would absolutely buy again.
Perfectly balanced, very little burn, to be enjoyed as is.
Nice strong pepper notes and not too dry.
