Okay, the ABV is too high for my tastes and thus the low score. It simply overpowers the flavors for me. Definitely has a floral taste. It's hard for me to nail anything else down. The aroma is similar but slightly sweeter and more pleasant. A couple or three hearty drops of water brought out a caramely aroma AND helped to reduce the heat, making it a little easier to sip. Given the cost of this rum, it would be a waste to use it as a mixer but that's all it's going to be good for, for me. Actually, it's really not that good as a mixer for me. Rating based on 2oz neat sipping and 3 solid drops of water.
