This travel retail expression, tells the story of the Bottled in Bond Act, a law passed in USA back in 1897, to stop distillers who were using other chemicals to flavour whiskey, and declaring exactly what was inside the bottle. This is a 100% proof (50%abv) Jack Daniel's, for extra power and flavor. On the nose, it is very sweet. Thick Maple syrup, maraschino cherries, burnt caramel, hazelnut, cocoa and meringue. After the first sip, it revealed banana peel, cinnamon and vanilla. On the palate, starts fruity and then a pepper bomb hits. Banana overload, vanilla, oak, wasabi and pepper. Very spicy. Aftertaste felt well crafted and nice. Chilli, sawdust. Very dry. Pleasant spiciness. Overall, this is a nice dram, but very straightforward. Not complex at all, which was dissapointing because you expect more notes when you have a higher abv. Nevertheless, this was a good treat, my score for it is a solid 80 over 100.

Neat: Alcohol and traces of vanilla & banana flavoring on the nose; Strong on the palate with loads of barrel tannin and charcoal; Burning but lasting finish....However, when served with a hare of water or one small ice cube: Sweet and rich with smoked vanilla & bananas on the nose, very pleasant! On the palate, much of the same rich, creamy & smokey Vanilla ice cream with banana; Shorter on the finish, but still quite pleasant. I recommend serving with a few drops of cold pure water or a small ice cube; It helps if you like the sweet-smokey flavors as well; It gets a 3 neat & a 4 with the aforementioned water or ice cube, with an overall 3.5 due to price point ($33).
Nose is sweet banana you know this is Jack Daniels Banana caramel on the palate Light cinnamon little bit of liveliness in the back end leading into a little bit of oak barrel. Then the sweetness just continues on.
It’s not too bad. I like the triple mash better but you know, I wouldn’t turn this down. Has a bit of the JD banana and a little oak. Pick the Triple Mash over this, but no complaints.
very rich of jack daniel's tast, for the fans it might be a new favorite, for single scotch lovers it is definently not the one just like every other whisky.
A pretty decent pour, especially for a Jack Daniels fan 100 proof Good price point for 1 ltr Not sure if still a travelers exclusive?? 3.5/5
