Nose is Jameson regulars (vanilla, citrus, butter) faintly overpowered by a big bowl of orange sherbert. It's only 30%, so I was surprised by the hint of alcohol. It's more ester-y than ethanol, and it's very faint, but it's there Palate Alcohol nowhere to be found, drinks literally smoother than anything I've had neat that was sold at this proof. The orange flavor isn't really that strong, like an orange hard candy that got stale. Imagine running hochstadters through a Brita filter 100 times and then adding an airplane of jamo. The orange is extremely palatable, which saves the lack of orange "punch" or orange intensity. Mouth It's unbelievably smooth. I mean WOAH easy to imbibe. That's it though. Small kiss of salted grits and marmalade if you really do finish a big neat glass/shot, but otherwise you won't even notice it. The jameson ecommended cocktail is quality lemonade and I can confirm it's way better than this bottle by itself. This one gets 2.75/5 as a whiskey; totally smashable And 4/5 as a liquer/cocktail ingredient; a huge punch of booze and orange you could practically hide in any drink.

Another in my mini bottle tasting series. Inspired by an Old Fashioned Cocktail? Well, inspiration is like Jell-O---it's squishy and jiggly and you can mold it into any shape you want. But in this case, it also smells like Jell-O. In fact, that perfume travels yards from the glass. But the taste? Nope, tastes more like Tang and vodka. Add ice and the recommended lemonade, and you'll never know what you're drinking. And maybe that's a good thing. Let's just leave it at that.

orange or amber color: Without ice: Aroma is strong orange in the flavor and very slight sweet whiskey in the background. Taste is strong upfront then dissipates into nothing but flavorless liquid. With ice: Aroma is toned down orange which is almost flat. Taste is less orange upfront, but the weak orange flavor continues through the sip. This would be a good mixer for ginger ale maybe.

The nose is extra pulpy orange juice. But not the quality stuff. The generic one from concentrate… mixed with Tang… no. On second smell it’s just Tang. With a hint of grain in the background. The flavor is not Tang. I’m not sure it’s even orange. Yes. Yes it’s orange. Fake orange cough syrup. Hints of cinnamon and menthol. Not helping.

Very sweet and does a number on my knackered old taste buds, but the citrus almost tastes a bit 'cheap orange squash'. Almost. It's not horrible, just not my marmalade neat. Could see it being nice as a longer drink with lemonade, l but am also keen to try it warm with some spices on Christmas day as well.

Has a bite and tastes like fake orange attempting to cover up the low quality alcohol. Technically drinkable, but would not purchase or recommend. There’s a reason they say “reminiscent of an old fashioned but bury it in lemonade” and not “a ready-to-drink old fashioned”.
