Jose Cuervo 250th Aniversario The Rolling Stones Special Edition was launched in 2016 to honor 250 years and 11 generations of tequila making and commemorate the Rolling Stones 1972 “Tequila Sunrise” North American Tour. Made from 100% blue weber agave, the piñas were cooked for 72 hours in a brick oven, and its juices were only only pressed once. After fermentation and distillation, it aged for 3 years in new French and American oak barrels. The resulting tequila was blended expertly with Cuervo family reserves, some that had been kept for 100 years, then rested again, this time for a year in Spanish sherry casks. Only 25 bottles of this rare and special release were made available in the US.
