Was told, at the distillery, this was rum a bourbon drinker would like. Though there are definite whiskey flavor hints, this is a very nice sipping rum.

Kill Devil Gold Rum is produced by Manteo, NC-based Outer Banks Distilling. This is the brand's first flagship barrel-aged rum, and spent 18 months in a first use bourbon barrel from A. Smith Bowman distillery. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
