True rakia fruit brandy. Very impressive coming from San Antonio, TX. Great to sip neat, one ice, shoot, or use in cocktails like Sidecar and Sour variations.
Kinsman Apricot Rakia
About this bottle
Pronounced "door-chol," San Antonio's Dorćol Distilling Co was founded in 2013 by Chris Mobley and Boyan Kalusevic, two friends who met in college 10 years prior. Their first spirit is Kinsman Apricot Rakia, an unaged brandy made from de-pitted, de-stemmed Serbian apricots. After double-distillation in a custom-built 400 L., direct-flame copper pot-still from Belgrade, the brandy is chill-filtered then bottled at 42% ABV.

Has a zing served neat like over-riper apricots. Major nose zing of alcohol. You get the apricot zing follower by a wiff of ethanol. Very sharp, very zingy.
Bright, rich stone fruit notes giving way to a smooth finish. Clean and distinct flavor. Excellent straight or in a cocktail, especially with citrus.
Intensely apricot with floral backing on nose and taste. Makes me think of eating apricots in a meadow. No harsh burn. A personal favorite.
