About this bottle

This is distilled in O'ahu from native Hawaiian sugarcane. It is made in the agricole-style and this bottling of theirs is aged in American oak. They use heirloom sugarcane varieties and do their harvesting by hand. Kō Hana is Hawaiian for "work of the sugarcane" and Koa means "bold or brave".

Lots of funky going on here. You get a little initial sweetness. A real grassy, herbal taste hits the middle. Medium length finish. If you like Agricola rum you will like. If you are looking for the sweet candy rum go elsewhere.

Overpowering unpleasant aroma and taste. Like motor oil. Mixing can’t hide it at all. No comparison to Puerto Rican Rums.

I'm not a big rum person, but if I were in the mood for rum this would definitely be an option.
