Didn't expect to see this here. Nose - Up front it's youthful wood, very raw with some level of winter green mint, and as I dig in the caramel malt richness comes out. OK...kinda rye bourbon like. That's a lot of wood. The malt is here too, it's sweeter and richer and heavier than an american rye non malt. Oh anis notes. ok fine vanilla and some bacon. Some pure sugar notes. Taste - Cherry, chewy oak, smoked anis, funky oak. Finish is long smoky notes. This just screams small barrel oak, funky young notes...but so well done. Final thoughts - water doesn't change much, but don't do it. Anyway, think texas whisky but softer. I'll give it a 2.0. It's weird, it's different, but it's pretty average whisky. This is like 50 bucks, and it's unique. I'd say it's worth it, but there's a lot of "worth it" things to try.

A complex, Rye Whisky by Kyrö Distillery in Isokyrö Finland smoked with alder wood, ex-bourbon, French oak, and new American white oak barrels before being bottled at 47.2% ABV. It has an aromatic birth with notes of grain, wood, earth, meat, herbs & spices; while a complex life adds notes of rye bread with honey smoked ham; that led to a long & warm death with notes of oak, alder wood smoke, pepper, vanilla, caramel & tar.

Smoked grilled lemons and funiture polish on the nose. The palate is sweet honeyed. The finish is more of the smoked furniture polish, like a bite out of a lacured footstool. Its almost Aquavit in its medcinical qualities. The medicinal iodine isn’t a combination I enjoy… sadly, I had to pour the dram out I disliked it so much.

Somewhat like a soft bourbon but with that similar funky flavor than in peat smoke variant. A lot of oak and malts in the aftertaste, also a hint of vanilla and honey. The smoke is on the milder side but has that campfire smoke and charred flavor in it. Quite like setting a fire with quality wood in a bit damp forest.

Definitely got the smoke on first pass. The problem is that the smoke is quickly overwhelmed by an unpleasant medicinal taste with a harsh finish. Definitely has a unique taste profile but I’ve tasted the unsmoked version and it has a better taste profile.

Very light campfire smoke. Tastes of honey, wet smoked wood, bread dough, and lemon furniture polish. Very unique flavors masque the young whiskey. Not sure if I would buy it again but am glad I tried it.
