This is a blend composed of straight rye whiskies from Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Alberta aged between 4-18 years that was then bottled at 50%. The nose starts with a rich butterscotch pudding, sautéed apples and moderate spearmint then freshly baked pumpernickel bread with whipped honey butter followed by poached pears, lemongrass and orange blossom that transitions to black pepper, pine needles, light leather and burning hickory wood with high ethanol burn. The taste is a medium mouthfeel starting with butterscotch pudding, sautéed apples and moderate spearmint before a moderate spice that slowly fades to freshly baked pumpernickel bread with whipped honey butter and river-stones followed by caramelized pears, sour lemon candy and orange zest that transitions to black pepper, pine needles, leather and burning hickory with high ethanol burn. The finish is medium length with sautéed apples, sour lemon, spearmint, pumpernickel bread, leather and polished mahogany. This is a really tasty rye that has a rich sweetness with a mix of creamy citrus, baked bread, light florals and earthy rye that the flavors are fairly bold, but suffers from a mild sourness along with moderate spice and drinks much hotter than 50%. These appear to be selling for around $80 which I think is a fair price for a quality rye. A huge thanks to @ctbeck11 for the generous sample.

Sweet, subtle and complex on the nose. I wouldn't be able to guess if this was a Canadian or an American rye, but it smelled more like Canadian. On the palate, this is loaded with pleasant, complex flavors. The nose was deceiving as this tasted more like an American, but I still doubt I would be able to guess in a blind tasting. Punches above its weight at 100 proof. Lots of oak. Subtle brown sugar and leather marries beautifully with subtle baking spice and the perfect amount of oak. I'm pleasantly surprised by this blend. I would happily buy this again.

Adbam 4.3

This is a true rye blend. A marriage of different rye styles and would be a great rye for someone to start their rye journey. Nose: rye with baking spice light clove and dill. Taste: very smooth, rye hits with a little plumy dill finshes with a nice spicy numb. I actually had this side by side with a lock 16 which is a bad idea. 16 is just too good, I had to put it down and take a brake to enjoy the vatted again.

Mint and brown sugar immediately jump out on the nose. Slight cereal notes on the nose as well. On the palate mint and dill are the prominent note as well as a nice malty funk. Not in a bad way (Jamaican Funk that what it is). Clove and cinnamon show up on the back of the palate. Coupled with a rich brown sugar and vanilla. A nice velvety texture with a medium finish.

Nose - buttery biscuit for like Cinnamon, clove, vanilla up fround, Orange rind, what would you say is in the finish orange, pepper, and leather

Excellent blend. Full mouthfeel loaded with flavor. Getting toffee and tobacco with a long finish. Highly recommend if you can find it!
