A fruity, creamy, malty bouquet with lively alcohol and an undercurrent of oak greets the nose. Top notes include underripe strawberry, red currant, red apple, then bright citrus both Meyer lemon and Valencia orange. Next comes malt, clean and subtly sweet with musky florals and a kiss of honey. Finally, very subtle yet very tannic oak comes through with a smidge of vanilla, like smelling vanilla extract in cookie dough on a wooden spoon. On the tongue it is momentarily malty sweet, then quickly becomes rather sharp and citrusy with some peppery heat. Next it moves back to sweet but more vanilla and cherry with herbal notes. The body is creamy yet light, slightly oily and coating. Legs appear as healthy veins that break up fast, leaving a well defined ring behind before collapsing into tears that vanish in mist. The long, bitter finish comes on quickly with plenty of citrus peel, apple skins, vanilla taffy, toasted marshmallow, Chardonnay oak, and tobacco tinged leather. It’s a rollercoaster ride of a dram! Nose: Honey, Maple Syrup, Light Raisin, Grass, Stone Fruit, Cereal grain, Apple, Vanilla, Sharp Lemon Citrus. Palate: Lightly Dried Fruit, Malt,Umami, Quince, Grass, Nuts, Apple, Tangy Citrus, Light Floral notes, Long but Mild Lemony Vanilla finish. This is a robust whisky, very spirit forward, strong citrus throughout, sharp around the edges with the quince notes but underneath all that there are hints of sweetness that compliment the whisky well. I personally was hoping for a little bit more of the honey and maple syrup I got on the nose but I still found it very enjoyable. If you're looking for an interesting whisky this is a great bottle to snag.

Finale medio lungo, equilibrato al miele e alla frolla. Meraviglioso. Voto 4,50
Have the bottle open for about 2 months. It has grown on me little at a time and I find it a highly enjoyable non peated and non sherry dram. It’s pretty unique dram. Most similar i think to The Tryconnell 16 IMO. Beautiful amber color. Long legs. Nose is mild. Faint honey pear & oak. P: rich honey, creamy mouth feel and some vanilla. Finish is dominated by oak tannins and spice. Long finish which honey sweetness becomes more pronounced over time. Score 89
Nose is apple skin, green apple candy, pear, and honey. Taste is more of the same with some spices reminiscent of the goop in apple pie. Barrel notes come across a bit astringent. Some toasty nuts in there. Ends with apple butter. Feels like a cornucopia on a sweater weather fall day while watching the leaves fall. 100% Speyside, nothing crazy but it's done well.
The higher 48% abv carries the flavors well. It's such a silky smooth, subtle but elegant whisky. It has notes of vanilla, slight baking spices, berries and cream with almonds. It's like a fruit parfait in a glass. The viscosity is so silky, smooth on the tongue as the flavors build mid palate and transition to nice moderately long finish.
