This seems to have been filtered too much, which has not only removed the color, but most of the aged agave character. There is an aged cooked agave character there, but it is very muted. This would be a good introduction to tequila for vodka drinkers. Glad I got it on clearance.
About this bottle
Lunazul Primero Cristalino is a 100% agave tequila produced at Tierra de Agaves Distillery. The agave, which has a pedigree dating back to 1758, is estate grown right outside of the town of Tequila in Jalisco. The agaves are harvested at seven to nine years and then cooked for a day before being shredded to extract the juices. After being fermented with a yeast unique to Lunazul, this tequila is double distilled in small batches then aged for 18 months in ex-bourbon, American white oak barrels. It then goes through a filtration process eight times that removes the color making this an "añejo claro." Note: The brand updated its packaging in early 2024 with a name change from Primero to Primero Cristalino. (SRP $37.99)

Strong vodka like notes cut into this drink for El Jeffes bar. You won't return to this shooter until you're at to top of of the coke trade. Lock and load hombere.
Surprisingly smooth and slightly vodka tasting tequila. Bought a bottle for a friend who only drinks clear tequila and we were not disappointed.
