Nose: Vanilla, caramel apples. Ginger and mixes baking spices. Palate: Very sweet. Summer fruits and berries. More of the caramel and vanilla that was shown on the nose. A creamy, full-bodied mouthfeel. A little spiced dried fruit. Finish: More sweet spices, a little oak. More of the Berry sweetness that lingers on the aftertaste. I really liked this as an occasional dram. It’s too sweet for my taste to be a regular sipper, but it’s a lovely Christmassy whisky.
About this bottle
Mackmyra Jaktlycka celebrates the Swedish hunting season and the treasures that are found in their forests. To achieve this, the whisky predominantly matured in casks that previously held berry wine from a Swedish producer, Grythyttan. Overall, a combination of saturated American, Swedish and ex-bourbon oak casks, as well as new and first-fill American oak and oloroso casks are used.

Sweet nose with alot of berries wich is the best part of this whisky. The taste is not as good as the nose, but shows potential with its taste from berries, oak and tart. The finish is have an over-active oak taste. In general this is a very decent whisky that i would drink just about every day as a go to.
Gold colour. Nose: berries, woodland fruit, red wine, honey but more fruit than sweet. Palate: nice and creamy with caramel, vanilla, and raisins. Finish: raisins and spice, a bit oaky. Really yummy. Love how the spice at the end balances the light beginning.
Amber pour. Lingonberry and strawberry on the nose. Hints of smoke. Chestnuts and toasted almond at first, then cranberries. A rich, creamy Black Forest gateaux. Werther’s Originals.
Porting, lekker, niet heel veel nasmaak. Als ie cheap is, kopen als wegdrinker
Relativ scharf auf der Zunge, intensive Blaubeere im Abgang
