I’m from Michigan and visit near Central Lake often throughout the summer. I’ve had many gins that are highly pine-forward and require sometimes a real grit-of-teeth to drink straight. Mammoth’s gin is surely an exception. They substitute some of the ingredients in the process with large amounts of sage and other citrus notes. Truly outstanding gin. I suggest not drinking this in a cocktail but enjoying it neat or on rocks.
