About this bottle

Cordon Bleu is the shining star of Martell's core lineup, until you move your way up to the ultra-ultra premium offerings. Cordon Bleu first debuted in 1912, and incorporates eaux-de-vie aged between 10 and 25 years. While the cognac includes grapes from four regions, the majority is from Borderies. The Martell house maintains usage of roughly 50 percent of all grape production from that region.

Bardzo ciemna, brunatna barwa. Pewna oleistość. N: 22 Bardzo głęboki, pełny i bogaty. W ciemno nie powiedziałbym, że to 40% ABV ze względu na intensywność. Dużo czekolady, karmelu, toffi. Wanilia. Pod spodem winogrona. Rodzynki. Mleczna czekolada z rodzynkami. Może odrobina kwiatów. J: 21 Słodycz miesza się z wytrawnością. Karmel. Palony cukier. Pełny i intensywny. Bogaty. Deserowa czekolada. F: 21 Słodycz. I wytrawność. Palony cukier. Szczypta przypraw. Biały pieprz. Dość długi finisz. B: 21 T: 85

Aki Ranin 4.5

NOSE: Exotic spice. Star anise. Vanilla for days. Very deep and complex. Certainly orange marmalade. Plum pudding. Light paint or glue residue. PALATE: Stewed citrus medley. Dark and caramelized. Succulent and decadent. OVERALL: My first try was a bit much but second time I loved it. It’s sweet and approachable but very interesting. Keeps you searching for new notes. Amazing desert cognac.

(Let sit for about 5 minutes.) 👀: Deep copper hues abound, rose mahogany, long legs; 👃: Rich, oaky aromas, mature grapes; 👅: Elegantly complex and smooth, oily and rich, transforms palates, can taste the individual grapes; 🏁: Beautiful finish, short linger and oak at the end. This is the most beautiful cognac I've ever had. Thus far.

Looneyhead 4.3

Nose of leather, raisin, grape, vanilla, star anise, apricot, wood, honeydew melon, white pepper, nuts, maraschino cherry, a hint of dark chocolate and nutmeg. Lightly sweet and woody on the palate; vanilla, pepper, oak, raisin, molasses, baking spice and toasted malt taste.

Was a bit disappointed with this bottle especially for the price. Good but nothing spectacular. Ended up giving the bottle away in the end as couldn't see myself drinking much of it

This is a wonderful cognac, a little expensive but well worth the price. Aromas of candied fruit wood and flowers. Buttery taste with vanilla and chocolate and nutty aftertaste
