Let sit for about a minute. 👀: Deep orange-rusty colored hue, tears are jagged and uneven; 👃: Grape influence strong, very floral and fruity, reminiscent of certain Scotches/Japanese Whisky, vanilla at the back end; 👅: Rich and sweet, sugar water at the front end, tastes a bit like prune juice (in a good way!!), Oily and sticks to your tongue; 🏁: Short finish, vanilla candy at the end, beautiful finish *voila*
About this bottle
Camus VSOP Cognac is part of the core range of cognacs from the largest family-owned cognac house. All cognacs from the house include at least some eaux-de-vie from the Borderies region. The VSOP is part of its collection of intensely aromatic cognacs. The wines are distilled on the lees and a technique called "Instensity" is used in the distillation process where the "heads" that present the best aromatic qualities are selected rather than being redistilled and set aside. The eaux-de-vie is matured in small, lightly toasted fine grain French oak. Aged a minimum of 4 years.

Very fruit forward, strong hints of baked apple and cinnamon. Vanilla finish and a nice controlled burn. A great way to finish a meal and an approachable price point. Independently owned to boot
Wonderfully rich floral notes on the nose that then open up with vanilla. Fruit is dominate on the palate with a hint of caramel. The finish is mild and fades quickly.
Not great for its price, but great essentially. Truly intense and rich both in aroma and taste, exstatic on a long run. One of the true VSOPs out there.
Mildly fruity, very floral. Slightly spicy and a faint bitter finish. Outstanding way to end a meal.
Yummy! And, at a good price!
