About this bottle
Mezcalero is a special project for showcasing the work of individual artisan distillers who work in tiny distilleries, often in remote villages. The brand was conceived by Ansley Coale of Craft Distillers, developed by Destileria Los Danzantes, and first released in 2009. Mezcalero is distilled and bottled in one-time batches. The agaves used for distillation are at least 50% wild species. Distillation takes place at small family distilleries. No. 3 is crafted in the pueblo of Santa Maria de la Pila by distiller Don Valente Angel from agave Espadín and Mexicana. Only 780 bottles produced.
