About this bottle

Nose - Super smokey, lots of char leather and oak. Almost like a high west campfire but more balanced. Turns into the smell of bbq, savory meats with touches of bbq sauce. After opening up more, its turns into a caremel bomb. Palate - Super savory, all the mesquite bbq comes through so much. Little bits of dark sweetness comes through, pops of caramel or dulce de leche. Just so smokey, it really is the frontal note on all fronts. Finish - More of that savory smokiness. Not long and not hot, quite nice and light at the end.

Color: really dark amber. Legs form eventually but they move somewhat fast. Nose: I smell light fruit and some oak. There is spice there also, but it is in the background and not overbearing at all. Taste: a fruity start. I get fruit and a mix of spice. Tangy, sweet, and spicy. This is excellent. I think this is maybe my favorite rye I’ve ever had. Finish?: long warm finish of some light spice and barrel but different than normal oak. Water?: definitely no need.

Warming spice to start, salted caramel, vanilla , moderate oakiness, dashes of drier hay notes, then some more familiar rye notes with fennel, herbality, black pepper and baking spice kick in. Someone had mentioned a kettlecorn kind of note thay i do pick up 3/4 of the way through the drink. The finish is medium to long with a moderate rye spice and warm, soothing and invigorating feeling on a cold day outdoors. Fantastic rye!!!

Nose: black cherry, brown sugar, vanulla. Smells like a bourbon. Feint oak and pepper at the end Palate: thick and creamy mouthfeel. Rye spice on the front, bright fruit and oaky/dark chocolate bitterness. Finish: tons of pepper and oak. Drier and more tannic than i expected but in a very young 8 on the t8ke scale

On the nose there's cinnamon, clove, pepper, and oak. The palate is rich, with subtle cinnamon, toasted sugar, and sweet molasses. The finish is smooth and sweet, I almost can't tell this is a rye and it drinks like it's 90 proof. I've never been a huge michters fan, but this one is great!

Big spice nose with some vanilla; massive baking spice with some caramel, oak, and vanilla; nice, easy finish of those baking spices; fairly dry as expected; nice, thick texture; prettyyy smooth; an excellent rye
