Enjoying neat. Visually crystal clear. Long legs on the glass. Nose is beautiful and complex with lots of cooked agave, tropical fruits, citrus blossom, minerals/earth, brine, lime peel, along with some green herbal notes. Oily mouthfeel. Taste is agave sweet, significant citrus, some tropical fruit, anise and pepper (black and white). Finish is fairly long, slightly sweet with a little black pepper spice and some bitter citrus pith and herbs to dry it out at the very end. Complex and balanced with a very pleasant flavor profile. Not sure if it's in stores, but can be obtained online. Pricing is on the high end for a blanco, but worth it. A high quality product, not marketing fluff. Would definitely buy again
About this bottle
Mijenta Tequila is a tequila brand which launched in the US in August 2020. It is made by maestra tequilera Ana Maria Romero from ripe agaves harvested in the Highlands of Jalisco. Notably, all the paper-related products for the bottle and box are made from agave waste. Mijenta is inspired from "mi gente" which means "my people." This blanco expression is unaged and bottled at 40% ABV.

Quite vegtal on the nose and on the palate. Fresh agave flavor in the forefront, with lighter notes of butterscotch, wood and dark caramel. There are hints of mint, green pepper, black pepper, and toasted marshmallow that appear towards the end of the finish, which is quite long. We like this one neat as a shot or for a leisurely sip. There is a lot of terroir and subtle flavor here that would get buried in a typical Margarita or other citrus based cocktail. We highly recommend!
A crisp, Agave Spirit by Maestra Tequilera Ana María Romero for Mijenta Tequila Nom1499 in Jalisco (Los Altos Southern) crafted in stainless steel & bottled at 40% abv. It has an aromatic birth with notes of cooked agave, fruits, melons, flowers, herbs & spices; while a full & elegant life adds notes of cantaloupe, lime, vanilla & honey; that led to a balanced death of medium length with a hint of cinnamon & caramel.
This is one of the best tequitas I've tried so far. Clean, smooth, a little bit of oiliness, but no overpowering flavours. I'll definitely be buying it again Bought from Threshers Wine Online Limited for £44
Had this as part of a flight. One if the best Blancos I’ve had. Crusher smooth, just slight botanical hints and a slight sweet earthy flavor like no other. Awesome
One of the best tequila blancos I’ve had. Smooth and silky. Complex nose and palate loaded with citrus and herbal notes. Great mouthfeel. Finish is medium.
