Nose is rich and full with strawberry, bubble gum, cotton candy, cinnamon roll, mint julep, black raspberry, French toast, pink sea salt, and soft oak. Had to literally hunt for any hints of ethanol. I know almost all the aromas I mentioned are sweet, yet it all works. Palate opens with big mixed berry from the sherry casking, ripe date, fig, walnut, cocoa powder, dried apricot, orange zest, and a healthy shot of lemongrass. Flavors punch so hard that they are almost fatiguing after a while but it hurts so good. Fruit notes are definitely forward. Ultra long finish offers spearmint, rye spice, toffee, barrel char, toasted oak, black pepper, and cinnamon gummy bear. Mouthfeel is full bodied, with some tongue-tingling dryness that doesn’t match the profile as well as I’d like. A stunner of a rye that really makes a name for itself. There are moments where I even wanted to give it a 5.0, but then I had to ask myself “can I give a 5 to a whiskey that beat my mouth up a bit?” and the answer is no. At $73.99, it IS a crazy good value that I really enjoyed and will buy again.

Nose: Bright cherry upfront. Palate: Up front classic rye spice and anise base with hints of sweetness.Long finish. Sherry dominates the back end of the finish. Overall: Great stuff, would definitely buy.
Strong but sweet up front on taste. All on the tip of the tongue and in the nose. No after taste in the mouth, it's weird. Good medium, sweet whiskey.
Didn't have big expectations but this surprised me. Dark fruity and spicy. Great mouthfeel. Nose was fantastic only complaint was a short finish.
Smooth to the tip of the tongue with a hint of cherry and carmel. All in the nose through the back of the throat with minimal bite.
Very nice whisky, easy to drink, smoothness from the rye
