OXFORD RYE WHISKY EASY RYDER

The nose is fruity and sweet of floral rye spice, there is a distinct lack of spiciness to it, with honey and straw also coming out. It is absolutely delightful as chocolate cake also starts to come out, giving a certain earthiness to it that really helps make this shine. The palate is chewy, slightly rich, while dry in the corners of the mouth, Earthy rye spice and pepper fill the mouth, as dark chocolate cake rides a wave behind it. This is such a distinctive rye that checks every box as to what a rye should be. As notes of ripe fruit come out, it is as simple as that. It's an amazing rye whiskey. The finish is medium long with fading oak, ripe fruit and floral rye spice. Chocolate cake is there with some chew, but it all melts away as it should. Stunning.
