For $28 this stuff is awesome. If you like El Dorado profile buy this now. Neat or a drop this is Zohan silky smooth with gobs of butterscotch, brown sugar, nutmeg, raw vanilla and slightly charred barrel. Its oily and rich and finishes long with toffee and melted butter everywhere. It also has a nice bit of hogo funk and leathery woody notes to balance the sweetness. Its NAS but tastes well aged to me. Comes in a leather sack for whatever reason but this is damn good rum....real good. Easy repurchase and punches above its weight......87/100........Okay many do not like the sweeter rums(I do) this is what I come to rum for, the blast of buttery sweetness. If you do not care for that profile this is a no go. I need to run this against El Dorado 12 to see but its close they are both delicious.

This rum (ron) in leather sack, which is nice but unnecessary - the bottle with crest is beauty by itself. The colour of the rum is in coffee - mahagony - hazelnut brown pallete. Smell is sweet, caramel - chocolate, rich with little alcoholic pinch. The taste is rather sweet, oak with mollase and nuts, but there is that bitter acid aftertaste lingering through every tasting note. Not my favourite rum, but tasty and interesting.
An intense, sipping rum from Venezuela opening dry with notes of leather, beer & tea; while the palate adds baked notes of butterscotch, coffee, black walnut & pipe tobacco; that led to a long, complex & sweet finish with a hint of caramel, sugar & fruit. October 2016 / June 2018
Pampero Aniversario Reserva Exclusiva Rum π Nose π; Some oak and vanilla, toffee, chocolate and raisins, Taste π ; Big wood, vanilla, clear chocolate and some leather, The finish long, round and full of both brown sugar and wood, 8 / 10 π₯
Has an aroma that hits you square in the face. Heavy oak, brown sugar, vanilla, dried plums, maybe a hint of toffee and cocoa. What is this oily mouthfeel? Not bad at all, but a bit challenging.
Came across a family member who has had this in his cabinet for 14 years (Not allowed to drink anymore). Not sure if itβs the extra aging but excellent if you like rich rums
