Woody smell and latte macchiato Tastes of wood, dark bitter chocolate and toffee, roasted nuts. Excellent rum, but too much bite for my taste. This is an excellent whiskey to pair with a cigar though.

On the nose I got tobacco and leather, which continued through the palate. The finish was smooth, leather, cacao. A very good sipper.
Wonderful layers of flavor. Definitely dosed with extra sugar. If I had to guess 25 g/L. I taste some pecans on the finish.
Very spicy. Almost black pepper from the wood. It reminded me a bit of a blanco tequila.
Tried neat awhile back thanks to my distributor friend, Tanya!
Didn’t care much for it tonight. Maybe my palate was off.
