About this bottle
This is one of six limited edition rum bottlings for Plantation Rum for its "Under the Sea" Vintage Collection No. 2. Featuring a local marine animal on the packaging, each of the rums are distilled and aged in their country of origin and then further aged in southwest France — the signature double aging for the brand. This Panama 2008 vintage bottling was distilled at Alcoholes del Istmo Distillery in a column stills. The rum was initially aged for 12 years in ex-bourbon barrels before being transferred to France for an additional 1 year of aging. A humpback whale is featured on the label. Only 19 casks were produced. Availability begins in the US in May 2023. (SRP $80)
