I've been drinking a lot of bourbon lately, a slight change from my regular peaty lately and im not a big tequila fan but the price and the extra anejo tag was a solid deal to me. With my eyes open this is definitely one of the best blanco I've ever tasted. Eyes closed, this is comparable to a good bourbon. The bourbon barrels really did magic and are those floral notes I taste from the Bordeaux casks?
This tequila should rate much higher than an 84. It has all the aromas and flavors you want in a sipping tequila and straight up out of the freezer it's the smoothest I've ever had. Wife laughs at me for constantly smelling it, the aromas are that good! Incredible price point for such a top shelf tequila. Try it, you will not be disappointed!
Best and smoothest tequila I have had. Characteristics of vanilla, hazelnut and butterscotch which leaves a nice memorable taste on the pallet. I enjoy sipping this tequila over making a top shelf cocktail, but however you enjoy it, it’s delicious! Also, really great price point for an Extra Anejo- around $55
Close your eyes & imagine a dark añejo. With your eyes open, this is the best “blanco” ever have. Great floral, butterscotch nose with a bit of heat on the front. Smooth on palate, delicious vanilla agave & oak finish. Great chilled or on ice.
This has got to be one of the best tequilas I’ve ever tasted. Notes of Vanilla, Butterscotch and Hazelnut burst into a whisky finish. You can definitely taste the barrel fermentation. It’s smooth and delightful. I highly recommend.
This should be much higher than an 84. This is a wonderful tequila. Very smooth, rich and you can really taste the barrels notes from the aging process. It gets a 98 from me.
