The nose is soft with charred oak, vanilla, fresh fruit and just the slightest bit of smoke. Its very gentle, much softer than you would expect for six years and 100 proof. It is somewhat inviting however. The palate starts with a slight bite of baking spices, giving way to some dryness. Chewy oak and vanilla follow with faint touches fresh fruit offering a sweet freshness. It is indeed rather simple, yet very attractive in how easy it is to drink. It is a great blend of age and proof, offering more fullness than the standard Rebel offering. The finish is medium long with a lingering dryness with the spice going flat as the oaky smoothness lingers. Rather tasty and effortlessly enjoyable. This is a great one to have on hand.

Interesting nose: fruit, oaky and a little floral, with a sweet vanilla hint. Taste reveals an earth tone with a spicy cinnamon and darker fruit flavor. Finish is medium, lasts on the pallet for several minutes. Oddly balanced drink, perhaps the age makes the balance off a little? It's a decent pour for the price, but doesn't make me scream for more.
Starts earthy, but sweet. Very smooth but the earthiness lingers too long for me.
Nice long finish
