Renegade Rum is a terroir-driven rum project from Grenada. The distillery harvests, mills & distills fresh sugarcane from individual farms, one field at a time. Pre-Cask: Cuvée Aura is an assemblage of unaged rums from single farm origins made with using the following production methods: Cane variety: lacalome red; Distillation method: pot + column. Like all bottlings from the brand, there is no coloring, no sugar added, and no chill-filtration. It's bottled at 46% ABV. Intense cane funk on the nose, with a fresh, vibrant and mouthwatering scent. On the palate, it is slightly sweet, subtle and semi-dry. A light touch of peppery heat, but overall, leaning most toward cane juice in character. Super easy going, and with a fairly short finish, this is an ideal mixing rum for tropical cocktails.
