The effect is meant to evoke the naturally occurring salinity and minerality of the waters surrounding its home town of San Francisco, made with vodka + soda drinkers in mind.

Skyy Vodka features aromas of sourdough wheat bread and baking spices. The sweet entry reveals a baking spice palate. The finish is characterized by soft vanilla and sweet, hot ginger. Due to its oversweetness, Skyy Vodka is not recommended straight or mixed.
A definite improvement from the previous formula. This made an excellent vodka and tonic. Still very neutral overall, but less oily and less ethanol burn. Much more drinkable neat. The pepper and the lemon peel flavors are very subtle.
A good reasonably priced go-to vodka. Relatively clean with some minerality at the end. Tastes similar to the old recipe. I enjoy it mixed with lemon-lime soda.
