Another in my series of 50ml mini bottle sips. Can you believe in my 60+ years, I've never been tempted to try it?! Well, it's dark, brown, and big coating legs in the glass. Juicy Fruit gum, pomagranate, and sweet on the nose. Ok, I'm braced. Viscous fruit--cherry mainly--and cola in the mouth, big sweet, and a little burst of ethanol, followed by orange bitters. Feels like cough syrup in the mouth, even if that's not exactly the flavor, but there is a chemical essence. Maybe that's what counts as "spice." Long cloyingly sweet finish that thins out to almost nothing at the end. No oak or tannic depth, and very little spice. It's a one trick pony. I can imagine the old 70 and 80 proof versions being even less interesting, but I'm guessing that's the attraction--mixing sweet fruit with a sweet carbinated soda, or drinking sweet on the rocks. And that's ok--like what you drink, drink what you like. It's been around a loooong time, so it's hitting a loyal market. I'll bet it's better with a forceful unflavored mineral soda like Topo Chico--put that inherent sweetness to work. Yeah, that's the ticket!

Southern Comfort 100 has a clear, light caramel appearance, with tight, uniform alcohol legs. The aroma is of pralines, pomegranate, assorted spices, and yellow corn grits. The flavor is of bitters, black pepper, grain spirits, oak barrel, bourbon, and vanilla. Body is high medium, and Southern Comfort 100 finishes medium dry. RJT
Southern Comfort 100 proof is a classic Southern liqueur. The aromas are of fruit cake with dried fruits and nuts. The entry is sweet with a palate of caramel and fruit cake flavors. The finish is sweet with flavors of caramel, baking spices, and citrus peels.
Its sweet, fruity And goes down nice and smooth.. has very little to no alcohol taste, but hits you real hard after a few sips.
This is actually pretty damn good. Very juicy and smooth, tastes like cherry and almond and not like cough syrup for once
Doce, caramelo, picância, bem rico de sabor, bem doce, mantém um bom sabor do bourbon que é usado.
