Starr African Rum is 100% made in the island of Mauritius. This molasses-based light rum begins with sugarcane that grows in the country's mineral-rich volcanic soil. It is bottled at 40% abv.

Like a refined, subtle version of Havana Club. Smooth and sweet initially with caramelized banana/tropical fruit, fennel and pepper. While Havana Club has decent flavour this is refined enough to drink on its own, and subtle enough to add gentle character to a cocktail. $50 in Ontario.
A delicate Aged Rum from South Africa, opening with a cherry & cardamon body, while closing with notes of citrus, nutmeg, vanilla & cinnamon adding complexity to a sweet finish. September 2016 / December 2019
