NEAT NOSE - Red Apples, Dark Fruits, Caramel PALATE - Extremely smooth, sweet and pleasant. The palate is full of apple and dark fruit with caramel on the back end. This bourbon is incredibly balanced. FINISH - Long, smooth, and sweet. OVERALL: With this being a limited run, I encourage you to atleast grab a bottle to see what they’re doing out at Still Austin. I have said thay they’re the best distillery in Texas, but I think they’re honestly able to compete with some Kentucky distilleries. Give this a try. Stop passing by it if you have been.

Still Austin “Red Corn” Nose: brown sugar and vanilla Palate: Vanilla Coke or like a light cream soda. It’s tasty af. My wife found the Vanilla Coke note too and she never finds tasting notes 😂. I also got a bit of cherry coke on the second pour. Caramel. Finish: rye spices on the back end. I got this bottle at total wine in Texas because it seemed like a weird mash bill but turns out its legit. SA makes really good Texas stuff with no Texas funk. Im not a fan of the texas hay funk.

Sweet corn off the bat, vanilla mostly with some roasted nuts. the body is semi dry though as it begins to pick up some lighter oak and hay notes, spiced apple slices and more ginger/spice notes pick up. The finish is also semi dry, with a medium length duration that carries spice but nothing sharp or overwhelming. This is an awesome whiskey thats sips easy, has alot of flavor and brings some cool red corn ingredients into the mix.

The bottle does take time to open up... Nosing reminds me of caramel apple and slightly grandma's stale perfume, and it's the lesser part of the experience. Palate is better: apple bubble gum, black licorice, silky corn oils, and a nice complexity from the red corn (almost amaretto like) has replaced the perfume note.

Good texture. 46% Jimmy Red Corn, 34% White Corn, 25% Rye, 5% barley. Thick, smooth and tasty. Caramel, sweet corn bread, vanilla, cherry, syrup.

I could nose this bourbon for days. There is a burnt orange note reminiscent or spiced rum on the nose.
