About this bottle

Tanteo Blanco Tequila was introduced in fall 2019 in California and New York and nationwide in 2020. The agaves are sourced from a cooperative of agave farmers who also own the distillery itself. Brick ovens are used to cook the agave and after fermentation and distillation, the tequila is bottled at 85 proof. Additive free.

Peppery agave on the nose. Both continue on the palate, with a burst of pepper that dissipates quickly revealing the agave sweetness, a hint of citrus and a vegetal note. Between the 85 proof and the initial pepper burst, this is definitely a sipper not a shooter. All things considered, Tanteo Blanco is a fine, additive free sipping tequila blanco that punches well above the price point. It is better, and cheaper, than several of the better known, big brand tequilas.
