Komos Reposado Rosa delivers a unique approach to the craft of tequila making and drinking experience. The rosa is delicately rested in French oak red wine barrels for two months. This aging leaves a prominent velvety mouthfeel and dryness on the palate from the influence of the wine, while maintaining a strong roasted agave presence. The aromas are fruity, with hints of wine, wild berries, dark chocolate, and agave. The flavors expressed follow suit with roasted agave, wild berries, a spicy dryness, as well as dark chocolate and citrus peels.
About this bottle
Tequila Komos Reposado Rosa is made using 100% blue weber agave harvested from both the Tequila Valley (Lowlands) and Los Altos (Highlands). After cooking in traditional stone ovens, the agave is fermented and then distilled in copper pot stills. Then the tequila is aged in French oak red wine barrels for 65 days imparting a pink hue to the tequila. Next the tequila is placed in a Greek amphorae and gently tumbled. The tequila is then bottled in an opaque porcelain bottle at 40% ABV. Available as of May 2021.

Expected more of an expression of the wine barrels in this one but it seems to only have come out in the pink color. The taste does have an extra dryness to it but otherwise nothing special.
Nose: white pepper, agave, wood, lime peel and flesh, vanilla, corn tortillas and a little red wine. Tastes of agave, pepper, vanilla and wood.
Himalayan sea salt on the nares. Very smooth on the palate.
Its fine. Decent nose with moderate sweetness.
Notes of chocolate and raspberry.
