Tequila Tromba was created by Marco Cedano, one of Mexico's most esteemed master distillers. After 17 years as the master distiller of the Don Julio Tequila brand, Mr. Cedano decided that he wanted to create something of his own. Tequila Tromba Reposado is made from 7 to 12 year old blue weber agave harvested from the Los Altos region of Mexico. After its second distillation, the tequila is aged six months in white oak casks previously used to age American whiskey. It is bottled at 40% ABV.

Tasting neat. Nose is butterscotch coated pears with a touch of anise. Moderate mouthfeel, Very rich and sweet with honey sweetness with vanilla, butterscotch, oak, pears, chocolate, and a hint of pepper and anise. Finish is decently long with vanilla, saccharine Very easy and dessert like sipper. Worth a try if you like it sweet and herbal
Because Tequila Tromba's aging process is natural and using 7 - 12 year old Blue Weber Agave harvested from the Los Altos region of Jalisco, Mexico. I has a light color but do not be fooled by it's light appearance. Its delicious! I taste warm coco, even a little caramelized pineapple - so I love subbing this in a daiquiri!
Appearance: light olive oil in color. Nose: soft wood notes with large waves of baking spice and fig. Taste: moderately cooked agave gives way to a peppery mid-palate that continues into its lightly wooded finish. Works beautifully in cocktails or can be enjoyed on it’s own.
Definitely notes of oak. But not overpowering. Brings out the sweetness of the agave. It’s so soft yet lingers on the palate. The front palate is sweet and the subtle caramel. And it’s nutty with light citrus and cacao notes. Definitely the star of the show for me.
Smooth, decent flavour but nothing special. It's less sweet than the blanco but still sweet for my taste. If you want a sweet reposado spend the extra $10 and get Casamigos. $60 in Ontario.
Generous and mellow, lots of restraint with the oak. Straw-colored, hints of tropical fruit and spice. Very enjoyable neat and comes through very well in a cocktail.
