This whisky was voted the wold' best blended whisky in 2012 by Whisky Magazine. Not sure I agree. Better than Johnie Walker Red or Famous Grouse for sure, but a JW Black or Double Black runs rings around it. Very good value at $10 locally though.

Three Ships Premium Select Whisky is made by blending together sourced Scotch whisky with malt and grain whiskies distilled and aged at least 5 years at the James Sedgwick Distillery, in Wellington, South Africa. This blended whisky was first released in 1991 and created by Master Distiller Andy Watts, who is only the 6th person to hold the position since the distillery was founded in 1886. Note: This is not available in the U.S.

Nose - Peat (iodine, plasters), banana, green apple, pear, vanilla cream. Palate - Rich vanilla, dried fruit. Finish - Medium, vanilla, and fruit sweetness. 43% ABV The best whisky under 200 ZAR.
Peaty and smoky on the nose with a hint of fruitiness and vanilla. The vanilla and American oak are very forward on the palate with a hint of pear. A medium lingering finish of smoke and vanilla.
Nose: Robust, Smoke, Fruit, Oak, Shortbread Palate: Ripe pears, Spiciness, Peaty Finish: Full peaty character, fruit, warm spice
Just discovered it in Montreal honestly my new go to for as long as the SAQ can keep the shelves stacked.
Woe is me for buying such rubbish! It may be peated, but it shall not be repeated.
