Nose - slightly floral Palate - not good Finish - very strong not in a good way Overall - I had a professor who gave me bad grades throughout college. He made my life hell and it left a bad taste in my mouth. So did this.
I agree. Needs a tad more aging perhaps but not bad. Taste of toasted burnt sugar lingers after the taste. Too expensive though and way better established whiskey out there.
Of all the Van Brunt whiskeys, I would definitely buy a bottle of this. Great balance of spicy of the rye, and quintessential sweetness of the barley. Very tasty rye.
Nose is rye, herds and a hint of orange zest. Taste is light yet herbal. Coriander, pine, black pepper, lemon and orange zest.
