About this bottle

Virgil Kaine Lowcountry Whiskey Co. was founded by David Szlam and Ryan Meany, two chefs who decided to use their culinary prowess to create great tasting whiskey. Their High-Rye Bourbon is distilled from a mash of 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% barley. This non-chill-filtered whiskey is aged in new, charred American oak barrels and bottled at 45% abv.

Evan Lopez 3.8

A strong spice flavor up front with a well balanced level of oak and heat. Gradually tapering off on the finish which adds to its complexity.

To much going on. Not comfortable in it's own skin. Nose: Leather Palette: Overly complex Finish: Short and left more to be desired
