I don't know how the British Navy managed to sail a ship, let alone defeat Napoleon when they recieved rum like this as a daily ration. For me this is a perfect rum: dark, strong and great value. Splice the main brace folks!
About this bottle
Distilled in Guyana at the Diamond Distillery (also known as Demerara Distillers, Ltd.), Wood's Old Navy Rum is made using pot-still and continuous distillation. This rum is aged from 1.5-3 years and sold in many European countries, most notably in the UK. Note: In 2016, the brand underwent a name and packaging update. Formerly known as Wood's 100 Old Navy Rum Export-Strength. Despite the change, the rum remains the same.

Definitely a good winter warmer. Notes of roasted coffee, treacle and smokey caramel at the beginning with a sweet, brown sugar finish. Goes down smooth despite it's high percentage. Also makes a great rum & cola.
Dark & rich with a thick molasses taste and lingering liquorice notes
Powerful, tasty and only £20. Great for the money 😁
