Nice malty nose with an intriguing blend of high Sherry and mid-range Marsala perfume. Exceptional entry with a smooth malt sweetness enhanced to 11 by the double ex-wine casks. The grape flavors come through after about a minute, but never overwhelm the base spirit. This is as close to a dessert whiskey as we've ever enjoyed. The kind of spirit you want to take home and share your life with. Walsh has hit it out of the park with this release.
